Van Parks Smithson [Parents] was born on 16 Nov 1885 in , Williamson, Tennessee. He died in 1950 in , Williamson, Tennessee. He was buried on 24 Jun 1950 in Mount Hope Cemetary, Franklin, Williamson, Tennessee. He married Mary Pollard.

Van Smithson ran the local grocery store, Smithson's Buy-Rite. Howard Smithson ran the store and sold it when he retired. (From Cynthia Human)

Van Parks Smithson was interred in Mt. Hope Cemetery June 24, 1950 in plot G-114. He was age 64 when he died and his marker shows a birth year of 1885.
